Those who fly should not wait. Zumflieger handles the airport transfer in Hamburg: at the terminal, at the GAT or directly at the aircraft.
Straight to the aircraft: the car waits at the GAT
In Hamburg, Zumflieger picks you up directly at the private aircraft, with our own apron driving permits for Hamburg Airport. From the jet to the car it is just a few steps, no terminal.
The chauffeur knows the stand position and arrival time and is ready when the door opens. He takes the luggage at the aircraft steps. From there you travel without a single stop to your final destination – in Hamburg, the surrounding region or beyond.
Clearance requires at least two hours' notice. We work with the handling agents at Hamburg Airport, including AHS Aviation Handling Services, Service People and HAS Hamburg Aviation Service.
- Our own permits to drive on the apron (what other markets call ramp access)
- Handover directly at the aircraft steps
- Discreet – no detour through the terminal

The General Aviation Terminal at Hamburg Airport
The GAT (General Aviation Terminal) is Hamburg Airport's dedicated area for private and business aviation: separate access, discreet handling, just a few metres from the car to the aircraft.
Share the tail number or flight plan, and the chauffeur will await you at Building 345 or directly at the aircraft steps. The same on departure: drive up, hand over the luggage, board. More about the pickup right at the aircraft in Hamburg.

Frequently asked questions about airport transfers and private jet pickups in Hamburg
-
The price depends on the route, vehicle, duration and time window. On request, Zumflieger provides a non-binding quote – with no hidden items.
-
Individual city and airport transfers can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before the start of the journey. For events, the deadlines agreed in the quote apply.
-
For scheduled flights, your chauffeur awaits you in the arrivals area of the terminal. For private flights, at the GAT (Weg beim Jäger, Geb. 345) or directly at the aircraft. The exact meeting point is included in the confirmation.
-
Customer Care tracks every flight. If the landing is delayed, it adjusts the pickup time, without you having to do anything. After the scheduled landing, 30 minutes of waiting time are included, at the terminal and at the GAT.
-
Customer Care is available Monday to Friday from 8 am to 8 pm and at weekends from 10 am to 6 pm. A pickup at the aircraft requires at least two hours' notice. For tight time windows, it is best to call directly: +49 40 500 18-20.
-
Yes. We drive onto the apron – the area passengers usually call the tarmac – and wait at the aircraft steps. The prerequisite is the airport's clearance: it is a security-restricted area, which is why we review every pickup at the aircraft in advance and obtain the clearance. We do not drive out to the aircraft at short notice or without complete flight details.
-
For the review we need, in particular, the aircraft registration, the last point of departure, the scheduled arrival time, the parking position, the number and names of the passengers, and whether a handling agent is involved. In addition, we clarify whether border police or customs clearance is required.
-
That depends on the flight's origin. For flights with potential border or customs relevance, we only pick up directly at the aircraft once the responsible authorities have completed or confirmed the checks. Regulatory requirements always take precedence over the preferred pickup point.
-
If relevant information is missing or the regulatory status has not been clearly established, we do not pick up directly at the aircraft. In that case, we take over only once the checks and clearance have been completed, at an approved handover point.
